The amazing Tesla Roadster – all electric car.

Yesterday I watched two Qik feeds from Robert Scoble and Jason Calacanis as Robert rode in the new Tesla Motors Tesla Roadster. The Tesla was driven by the CEO of Tesla Motors, Elon Musk. The Tesla is a 100% electric car with acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in 4 seconds. Some of the other amazing statistics of the Tesla are 135 mpg equivalent, 220 miles per charge, and a cost of about $3.00 to recharge the car. Let me repeat that, it costs about $3.00 to drive the car 220 miles, the equivalent cost of little more than 1 gallon of gas. No other hybrid or electric car even comes close to the performance and economy of the Tesla. For a mere $100,000 you too can have a Tesla.
