Obama vs McCain, man I’m bummed out.

By Michael Tefft • on February 20, 2008

The thought of either one of these men being our President for four years is really bumming me out. I am usually a Republican but this election I don’t really want to vote for anyone. On the one side is Barak Obama who’s endless mantra of change and hope, etc., is really getting on my nerves. You can’t be an effective president without a strategy and ideas about what you want to do as president. And all Obama has to offer is empty rhetoric and charisma. I don’t think either one of those characteristics will be of much use as president. And then there is John McCain. Is he a liberal, is he a conservative, or is he just plain a little crazy? But the worst part is he would be the oldest president ever, even older than Reagan when he took office. I cannot help lamenting the fact that these two are the best this country has to offer. Something is seriously wrong with the whole nominating process if this is the end result. I really fear for our countries well-being in the next four years, especially with regards to the war on terrorism. I have a sinking feeling that Obama will be soft on terrorism, another Nevil Chamberlain, while McCain may get us into WWIII. I sure hope I am way off base on this. I will be saying a lot of prayers in the next few years that our country will survive the next Presidency intact.
