This will be my last post here. I have installed a new blog software package called MoveableType which I will start using as of now. My first entry will be about my new job and the 2 day workshop I just returned from in Springfield, VA. Bye for now.

New Job Update

Started my new job yesterday. Spent the morning in HRO being processed in. The rest of the day I spent meeting my new boss and co-workers and getting setup in my office. (Cubicle). I was really nervous yesterday but today was not so bad. I think things are going to be OK. I will be managing their Army Knowledge Online knowledge management portal. It will be a big job and I'm sure it will keep me busy and hopefully interested and challenged. I do miss my PWC friends but I will see them again when Gloria retires in October. Until then I should be busy with my new job and life. More to follow.

Back again

Well, I have only two days left at work before I start my new job with the Army at Ft. Monroe. I have been going to work at the Naval Station for over twenty years. It is hard to believe that in just two more days I will never go there again for work. No more driving through the mid-town tunnel and Hampton Blvd. traffic. No more putting up with the NMCI and all the craziness that goes with the job. I am really looking forward to a new job, new people, a new everything. They are having a luncheon for me Friday. I will miss the people I worked with very much. That is the only thing I will miss about the old job. On another topic, my health and emotional mood have improved considerably. I think the Paxil is finally taking effect. But mostly I owe my new sense of well-being to joining the church, being baptized and born again, and renewing my relationship with Jesus Christ. Things are once again looking up. I just hope I don't let myself and others down by going back to my old life.
